In a strategic move to deepen consumer protection and promote fair competition in Ondo State, the Ondo State Competition and Consumer Protection Agency has undertaken a high-level familiarization visit to the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) in Abuja.
The visit, which marks a significant step in regulatory collaboration, was aimed at fostering knowledge sharing, replicating best practices, and exploring avenues for joint initiatives between the two agencies. The FCCPC, Nigeria's apex consumer protection and competition regulator, plays a critical role in safeguarding consumer rights and ensuring a fair marketplace. During the visit, the Ondo State delegation led by the Administrative Secretary Hajia Kudirat Ola engaged extensively with FCCPC officials on topics central to strengthening consumer protection frameworks at the subnational level.

In her address at the meeting attended by the National President of ATWAP, Dr. Mrs. Clementia Ativie, and the association's executives in Akure, the state capital, the Administrative Secretary of CCPA, Hajia Kudirat Ola explained that "the strategic meeting is aimed at fostering collaboration and ensuring compliance with consumer protection standards in the state."
